Client Impact Survey Results

What Difference Are We Really Making?


At Sacred Heart Foodbank, we’ve always believed our impact goes beyond providing food—but we wanted to hear it directly from the people who matter most: our clients.


Between December 2025 and January 2026, we carried out our first client impact survey to better understand how our service is supporting individuals and families. The results were both powerful and encouraging.


The vast majority of respondents told us that using the foodbank helps them eat more regularly, avoid running out of food, and free up money for essential bills like rent and energy. Just as importantly, many shared that they feel more connected to their community through the foodbank—highlighting the role we play in reducing social isolation.


We were especially proud to see that nearly all respondents felt they were treated with kindness, respect, and dignity—values that sit at the heart of everything we do.


Alongside the data, clients shared personal stories about reduced stress, improved wellbeing, and the difference the foodbank has made during the cost of living crisis.


This survey marks an important first step in understanding and measuring our impact. While no survey is perfect, the strength and consistency of the feedback gives us confidence that our work is making a real difference.
