Exciting News: New Grant Awards and Donations for Our Food Bank!

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news with our community! The Food Bank has recently been awarded a grant of £10,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund. We are incredibly grateful to the National Lottery for this generous support, which marks our third award from them. This funding is not only a testament to the quality of our food bank but also highlights the continued need within our community.

In addition to this fantastic news, we are excited to announce several other contributions that will help us continue our mission of providing essential support to those in need. In April, we received a generous pledge of £1,200 from the Arsenal Foundation, and in February, we were awarded £1,667.67 from the Islington Giving Food Fund/Cripplegate Foundation.

We are also extremely proud of one of our dedicated volunteers, Fars Ghoitom, who ran the Hackney Half Marathon in May and raised an impressive £2,500 in sponsorships! Fars completed the marathon in just 2 hours and 30 minutes—what an incredible achievement!

These contributions make a tremendous difference in our ability to serve our community, and we are deeply grateful to all our supporters. Together, we are making a meaningful impact and ensuring that our food bank continues to provide for those who need it most.
